| concurrent chemoradiotherapy | ||
| Immune consolidation therapy | ||
| Prophylactic brain irradiation and follow-up |
Treatment Outcome
| before | Limited stage small cell lung cancer, tumor 5.5 cm, NSE 85 ng/mL, poor prognosis (2-year survival rate is about 30-40%) |
|---|---|
| after | After 24 months of concurrent chemoradiotherapy + immune consolidation therapy, he still survived disease-free, the tumor was in complete remission, the tumor markers were normal, and he returned to normal life |
| highlight | Concurrent chemoradiotherapy + immune consolidation therapy enables patients with limited SCLC to achieve complete remission and maintain 24-month disease-free survival, which is significantly better than expected with traditional treatment. |
