MSA-013

Multiple System Atrophy (MSA)

Asia 47 years old female Japan Total Cost: 252

Patient Condition

MSA-C, progressive cerebellar ataxia for 8 months (very early stage), with mild orthostatic hypotension and constipation. UMSARS-I 11, UMSARS-II 13, SCOPA-AUT 10. MRI showed early cerebellar vermis signal changes. Enrolled in active immunotherapy (alpha-synuclein vaccine) trial.

Treatment Outcome

beforeUMSARS-I 11, UMSARS-II 13, CSF NfL 55pg/mL, SAA positive, PET showed cerebellar nerve inflammation
afterUMSARS-I improved to 9 points, UMSARS-II improved to 11 points, CSF NfL dropped to 38pg/mL (31% decrease), and serum anti-alpha-synuclein antibody titers significantly increased
highlightActive immunotherapy with extremely early α-synuclein vaccine achieved the best efficacy, with a 31% decrease in NfL, the largest decrease in all cases. Serum antibody titers confirmed an adequate immune response.
