Multiple System Atrophy (MSA)
Patient Condition
MSA-C, progressive cerebellar ataxia for 10 months (early stage), with mild orthostatic hypotension and constipation. UMSARS-I 13, UMSARS-II 15, SCOPA-AUT 12. MRI showed early cerebellar vermis atrophy. Enrolled in BM-MSC clinical trial.
Treatment Timeline

Treatment Outcome
| before | UMSARS-I 13 points, UMSARS-II 15 points, CSF NfL 62pg/mL, GFAP 120pg/mL |
|---|---|
| after | UMSARS-I improved to 11, UMSARS-II improved to 13, CSF NfL dropped to 45pg/mL (27% decrease), GFAP dropped to 88pg/mL (27% decrease) |
| highlight | Early BM-MSC intervention significantly improved motor function scores, and both dual biomarkers (NfL and GFAP) were significantly reduced, suggesting that neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration were suppressed |
