Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF)
Patient Condition
The patient was treated for progressive dyspnea for 2 years and had no history of smoking. HRCT showed extensive honeycomb and grid shadows in both lungs. Lung function: FVC 40% predicted, DLCO 25% predicted. 6MWD 200m, mMRC score 4. Oxygen therapy is needed. Advanced IPF was diagnosed (GAP score 6, stage III). It was assessed to meet the indications for lung transplantation.
