Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF)
Patient Condition
The patient was treated for progressive dyspnea for 1.5 years and had a history of smoking (20 pack-years). HRCT showed diffuse grid shadows and honeycomb lungs in both lungs. Lung function: FVC 52% predicted, DLCO 36% predicted. 6MWD 280m, mMRC score 3. IPF was diagnosed (GAP score 5, stage II). Combined with gastroesophageal reflux.

Treatment Outcome
| before | FVC accounted for 52% of predicted value, DLCO accounted for 36% of predicted value, 6MWD 280m, mMRC score 3 |
|---|---|
| after | After 24 months of treatment, FVC accounted for 48% of the predicted value (approximately 2% annual decline), DLCO accounted for 32% of the predicted value, 6MWD was 345m (improvement of 65m), and mMRC score dropped to level 2 |
| highlight | Combined anti-fibrotic treatment with Nintedanib+Pirfenidone combined with systemic lung rehabilitation delayed the decline of FVC, improved 6MWD by 65 meters, and significantly reduced dyspnea |
