Treatment Outcome

beforeFVC accounted for 47% of predicted value, DLCO accounted for 32% of predicted value, 6MWD 240m, mMRC score 4, GAP score 6 (Phase III)
afterAfter 24 months of treatment, FVC accounted for 39% of the predicted value (annual rate of decline was approximately 4%, which was lower than 8% for natural disease), DLCO accounted for 24% of the predicted value, and 6MWD was 215m
highlightPirfenidobne treatment in patients with advanced IPF can still delay progression, reduce the annual rate of decline in FVC from expected 8% to 4%, and palliative treatment improves quality of life
