HF-037

Heart Failure (HF)

Asia 50 years old male China Total Cost: 174

Patient Condition

HFrEF (ischemic cardiomyopathy), LVEF 30%, NYHA class II-III, cardiac function did not recover after anterior wall myocardial infarction. After optimized drug treatment, LVEF was still lower than 35%, so he was enrolled in the clinical trial of intracardiac injection of autologous bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (MSC).

Treatment Timeline

PhaseDetailsDate
Clinical trial screening
Stem cell intracardiac injection
postoperative monitoring

Treatment Outcome

beforeLVEF 30%, NYHA II-III, scar area covering 28% of left ventricle, 6-minute walking distance of 320m
afterLVEF 42%, NYHA class II, scar area reduced to 20%, 6-minute walk distance of 430m
highlightAfter intracardiac injection of autologous MSC, LVEF increased by 12%, and myocardial scar area decreased by 8%. It is safe and feasible.
