Patient Condition
Fulminant heart failure after acute myocarditis, LVEF 10%, NYHA class IV, cardiogenic shock, dependence on ECMO and IABP. Cardiac function did not recover after active medical treatment, requiring LVAD implantation.

Treatment Outcome
| before | LVEF 10%, NYHA class IV, ECMO dependence, cardiogenic shock |
|---|
| after | LVAD support for stable circulation, NYHA class II, partial restoration of myocardial function (LVEF 25%), bridging to recovery strategy |
|---|
| highlight | Patients with fulminant myocarditis have partially recovered after sequential support of ECMO+LVAD, and are expected to eventually be separated from the equipment |
