Patient Condition
The patient developed weakness in both lower limbs since the age of 63, and was diagnosed with ALS (limb onset) at the age of 64. At the time of diagnosis, ALSFRS-R was 28, FVC was 60%, and both lower limb muscle strength was grade 3. Progress is rapid (monthly decrease of 1.2 points). Edaravone could not be used due to financial reasons and a comprehensive supportive treatment plan was selected.
