Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC)
Patient Condition
The 63-year-old patient presented with cough and weight loss and was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer (SCLC, extensive stage) with liver and bone metastases. PR was achieved after 4 cycles of first-line etoposide + carboplatin, but progressed after 3 months of maintenance chemotherapy. Second-line topotecan progressed again after 2 cycles. At the time of diagnosis, NSE was 85 ng/mL, ECOG score was 2, and superior vena cava syndrome was developed.
